Secured Program Access

AutoSave determines the access to the directories of programs that are permitted to both the user and the client PC and restricts editor functions to those directly related to the launched session type.

Version Control

When the user initiates a program’s operation, its file set becomes locked, AutoSave indicates to others who has the checked out files, and denies further access during their use. When the user saves changes and exits, AutoSave prompts for a revision note, creates a new current copy, creates a numbered ancestor, and unlocks the program.

Comparison Features

Any two copies of a program can be compared to each other or the processor on demand. Automated comparisons can be scheduled as often as appropriate. Notification e-mail alerts designated individuals to the results and provides detailed html-format reporting.
